Securing Stakeholder Buy-in for Trusted AI Adoption

CRGC-038 | Cybersecurity, Risks, Governance & Control | 2 days

Overview

This programme re-tools stakeholder management for AI-native projects, where buy-in is no longer secured only through project updates, delivery status or sponsor sign-off. Participants practise how to manage difficult conversations when an AI-enabled solution creates ethical concern, operational disruption, stakeholder harm and reputational exposure.

The course is not positioned as technical AI training. AI ethics scenarios are used as practical business simulations to strengthen judgement, escalation, influence and decision facilitation. Participants learn to move from issue analysis to senior-management briefing, stakeholder negotiation and defensible decision recommendations such as suspension, restriction, conditional continuation or safe reinstatement.

Learning Objectives

  1. Help participants recognise when an AI-enabled business issue has become a stakeholder trust issue, not merely a technology issue.
  2. Equip participants to frame ethical, operational, customer, workforce and reputation concerns in business language.
  3. Build confidence in escalating bad news when facts are incomplete, business pressure is high and the decision is time sensitive.
  4. Practise stakeholder-specific communication across Sponsor, Risk/GRC, End-Users, Vendor, AI Champion, Operations, Legal, HR and Communications perspectives.
  5. Develop a defensible decision package for senior management: what happened, who is affected, why action is needed, what options exist, and what conditions must be met before safe continuation or reinstatement.

Target Audience

  • Professionals involved in driving, supporting, governing or adopting AI-enabled transformation initiatives across the organisation.
  • Business transformation, change, operations, product, customer experience, HR, legal, risk, compliance, internal audit, technology and vendor-management professionals.
  • No technical AI background is required. The level is intermediate, highly practical and discussion based.
